  • Written by

Pools, may it be private or public use, need to be cleaned regularly to ensure that the pool-goers and swimmers are safe. This means that at the end of the week, you need to go hard in sweeping, cleaning filters, and applying treatment to the pool. Most of the time, the debris from the swimmer’s feet like dust, sand, or even sediment is what needs to be swept away. These things can’t be removed by a skimmer that only gets rid of floating leaves and miscellaneous things.

In this article, we’ll list down the foolproof ways to remove fine dust, sand, or sediment from a pool.

Filter and Pump

The first method that is very popular with pool owners is the usage of a pump and filter. By using this method, you will be able to remove fine particles or fine dust out of the pool easily. After closing the pool, you need to ensure that it has at least 8 hours because the pump and filter method works that long. After letting the pool do this for hours, the pool water the next day will be fresh and swimmable.

One of the things that pool keepers forget is cleaning or backwashing the filters of their pools. The filter makes sure that the pool water is clean and has not no debris or sand floating around. So, to make sure that it works every single time, you need to clean the filter and remove the clogged dirt on it. There are ones that can be cleaned easily like the sand filter which can be washed using the pool water.

You just need to find the one that perfectly fits your budget and needs. There are self-maneuvering and remote-controlled ones. Sweep Pool Walls

Another way to clean your pool is to sweep or scrub the pool walls to remove the dirt stuck to them. The bottom of the pool is not the only one getting all the debris and sediments from the pool-goers. You will also notice them on the walls so you need to clean them as well.

Pool Floc Treatment

This method is used to make all the floating sand and dirt on the pool sink and accumulate at the bottom. Then, you can either manually sweep them or use a robotic swimming pool cleaner to vacuum everything.

Cleaning a pool, big or small, is not going to be a problem if you use the right ways and tools to do it. You can either use manual tools, automatic tools or hire professionals to do the work for you.
